I am a 3rd year Ph.D. student at Hokkaido University, Japan (as of Oct. 2021). I am interested in the cycling of volatile in subduction zones, with a particular focus on fluid inclusions in peridotite. To complete my Ph.D. thesis, I am carrying out collaborative research with the Experimental Mineralogy group in Pavia for three months from September 2021 under the Young Researcher Overseas Challenge Program supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.

The purpose of the collaboration research is twofold. The first is to clarify the mineral species dependence of fluid inclusion density in mantle xenoliths by numerical calculations based on the host and fluid equation of state. The second is to compare the depths provenance obtained from fluid inclusion geobarometer, mineral inclusion geobarometer (e.g., spinel inclusion in olivine), and geobarometer based on the chemical composition of minerals, and to discuss the accuracy of each geobarometers.
