Fernando Cámara
Fernando Cámara is a Professor of Mineralogy and Crystallography at the University of Milan Statale, Italy.
His research topics comprises the study of thermoelastic behavior of rock forming minerals; the characterization polymorphic distorsive and cation order-disorder phase transitions; the crystal chemistry of light elements in rock forming minerals; the study and characterization of new minerals, mostly silicates and titanosilicates; study of complex structures involving polytypic and polysomatic series. All these studies are accomplished ty using single crystal X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy as well as other spectroscopic techniques. He works at DiSTAD at the University of Milan I am responsible of the Transmission Electron Microscopy lab of the COSPECT Unitech platform.
