The course will provide research students with an understanding of the theory of Equations of State of solids and the methods to critically analyse data to determine the parameters of EoS. On completion of the course students will be able to evaluate elasticity and diffraction data for EoS, determine EoS from the data, and calculate the properties of minerals from their EoS.

The course consist of 24 lectures held twice a week, normally on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The course is aimed at masters and PhD students but postdocs or researchers are also welcome. If you want to participate in the course you must register in advance.
