Giulia Mingardi is the winner of the “3MT 2024 Edition @UniPv”

The 3MT is an academic competition that challenges PhD students to describe their research to a general audience in English in less than three minutes.

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition organized by the Coimbra Group celebrates the discoveries made by research students: it encourages you to communicate the importance of your research to a broader community by talking about your PhD project in an informative and audience-oriented way.

The PhD Students enrolled in any of the 40 universities associated to the Coimbra Group are eligible to participate. Each and every institution selects their best candidate to compete against those selected by the other institutions.

For the 2024 edition the winner for the Edition of the University of Pavia is Giulia Mingardi (Laboratoire de Géologie, Ecole Normale Supérieure, PSL Research University and “Fiorenzo Mazzi” Experimental Mineralogy Laboratory). Giulia has been selected by the Committee at the university of Pavia to compete against the other PhD students selected from the other 39 Universities of the Coimbra Group. The finals will take place in Turku, Finland in June 2024.
